The Acustix expansion pack for the Roland TD-9 module is a specially designed pack for general “live & stage” use. For all experience levels and functionality, this pack will deliver a powerful enhancement to the TD-9.
Crafted on a loudspeaker system (PA), these kits are designed for immediate use on stage with your kit. Mixer settings have been optimized for a loudspeaker system (PA). As always, minor adjustments may be needed when recording and/or monitoring with headphones to suit your personal tastes.
Based on a standard set-up including Crash Two as a crash/splash/or china cymbal and Aux 1 programmed as crash/splash/ china cymbal or as a Tom 4; you’ll choose what version kit you want to load. All the kits are uniform in level and panning.
With all our packs, we highly recommend you load in our kits as a “Kits” Only backup, to preserve your custom created setup unique to your e-kit. We encourage you to make a back up of both your kits and setup(s) before executing our download to your module.
This pack features 2 backups as mentioned above. Both these backups include the programmed ride edge for use with the CY-12r/c or the CY-15r ride cymbals. For proper use of the 3 way triggering system, please refer to our manual for the correct plug insert options for your ride cymbal.
All toms have the rim trigger programmed as the acoustic rim sound, with the exception of several kits. On the AUX programmed as a splash/crash/or china cymbal version, some of the kits feature a higher pitched series tom on the Rim of Tom 1 and a lower pitched series tom on the Rim of Tom 3. This gives those kits essentially 5 toms to choose from. There is a global setting for Tom 2 Rim: which is a cowbell. This was asked for by many of our “gigging” customers and we happily answered you. Created for gigging and general live stage use, you'll be able to use these kits as a reference point to optimze your personal masterpieces.
All kits have been fashioned using the onboard sounds of the TD-9. These are not new samples or added third party material. The TD-9 is not capable of uploading new samples to its wave board. All sounds have been professionally formulated and highly tweaked for your satisfaction. You may notice an overall boost in the volume of the module versus the stock kits, as well as other enhancements to most of the instrumentation that make up these kits.
The Acustix Live expansion pack has been ear-created on the TD-9 from scratch on its own platform. All kits have been tested in a live setting. You will need a USB connection on your computer and a formatted USB Key (flash drive) to properly execute this download. Check your TD-9 manual for further requirements using a USB Key drive.
